A very rare and important, monumental, late 15th century gothic oak chest of state. Carved with flamboyant gothic tracery panels, flanked by carved buttresses, the crockets carved with mythical winged beasts, the centre panel depicting two pelicans feeding from a cauldron and the sides with linenfold panels and buttresses.
